INFORMATION & RULES
 
Completed summary page must be signed by studio director/representative and accompanied by a certified cheque or money order in order to be processed.  Online registration or hard copy forms may be used to enter.
Entries are accepted on a first come first served basis.
There will be no video or photos allowed at any venue.
There is no admission fee to any of our events. No smoking, drinking or eating is allowed in the theatre area.
Teacher's will be responsible for their own music. Both CD and tape players will be available at all venues. Back up CD's and tapes are recommended. Please notify Jump Shout Boogie upon registration if tapes are to be used. Please request microphones if required for song and dance or vocal routines.
Each studio will receive DVD's that have Adjudicators comments as well as their score sheets. Score sheets may be picked up at the end of the competition.
In order for solos, duets and trios to be eligible for overall awards a studio must enter at least two groups/lines or one production to be eligible for any cash awards or scholarships.
Competitors may not compete against themselves in the same category. If a dancer has more than one routine in the same category, they must enter into Open Category or move one age level up.
There must be at least three entries per category to qualify for cash awards.
All cash scholarships will be made payable to the studio.
Props and sets may be used as long as they are free standing and safe. To ensure proper scheduling, Jump Shout Boogie requires the size of prop to be determined.  The following are your options: 
No Prop
Small Prop - Dancer will carry their prop on with them or a Teacher places the prop on the stage and it takes 30 seconds or less to set up. (eg. chair)
Large Prop - A prop that will take more than a minute and less than three minutes to set up.

Only teachers with proper identification will be allowed in the backstage area along with students.
A Stage Manager from Jump Shout Boogie will be on hand at all events to control backstage areas and any changes to the program. Any on site changes must go through our Stage Manager and will be at their discretion.
Jump Shout Boogie reserves the right to refuse entries at their discretion in which fees will be refunded. Refunds will not be made for any other reason.
Jump Shout Boogie will not be held responsible for any injuries, damages or lost/stolen property during any of its events.
Birth Certificates are not required to enter, however, in case of discrepancy from any judge or other teacher, proof of age must be shown on premises.
Adjudicators will break all ties that qualify for any cash and/or trophy overall awards.
The decision of the judges will be final and no judge may be approached throughout the competition to discuss placements or decisions.
Jump Shout Boogie reserves the right to change/cancel competition dates as deemed necessary. They also reserve the right to change any awards/scholarships based on amount of entries per venue.
Any matters not published in these rules shall be referred to the Directors of Jump Shout Boogie whose sole decision in all cases shall be final.
 
Jump Shout Boogie reserves the right to use all photographic and video materials acquired at any of the Jump Shout Boogie events for advertising purposes.
